Petra's 14th Birthday!

I had breakfast that morning with Kathy and Rhoda.

Spanish class on Petra's birthday.  I made choc/peanut butter fudge instead of cake.  It didn't have time to firm up so they just ate it off of spoons.  Better name this kids in case my memory fails me in the future.  Starting with Mrs. Marks and going clockwise, Ian, April, Nathaneal, Drew, Dexter, Shaliqua, and Petra!

Petra loves taking interesting pictures of leaves and flowers.

Roxanne and TJ's reception

Petra with cousins Olivia and Heather at Roxanne and TJ's wedding reception on that snowy day in October (29th).  Three beautiful girls!

Also on this snowy day, Austin and friends were impersonating Narnia characters for a fund raiser walk of some sort.  The snow was a perfect touch!
Peter, Edmond, Lucy and Susan

Which one?

I took these pictures at the Thurmont upholstery fabric shop.  I just couldn't decide which.  I needed Linden's input.  Which one did we choose?  You'll have to come and see!

Evan

Rhoda snapped this pic with her phone camera of Evan sunning himself one chilly morning

We are all there

We all tried to get in the picture with Aunt Rachel.  Me, Andrea, Petra, Aunt Rhoda and Grandma.  Rachel and Craig were out for a drive in the Galaxy.

October

Oct 11 was the first orchestra rehearsal.  Both Grantley and Petra were very unenthusiastic about doing orchestra so I took them to Panara Bread as a little consolation for their inconvenience.  Who should we find tucked in a nook but my three cousins:  Beverly, Freda and Kathy.  Beverly and Freda were both headed to orchestra too.

Oct 21 - 22  Linden's sister Beverly has such a generous heart!  Not only did she give Petra and Linden a place to stay for the night but she also sent these homemade goodies home with them.  Petra had a Soccer game early Saturday, morning near Beverly's house so Linden and Petra went a day early.  Linden spent time in history libraries and Petra got time with cousins.

Jr Youth made pinatas for the annual harvest party.  They all turned out way too strong!  The little kids had a hard time breaking them!

Cordel Gardens - MMC home school crowd, Oct 6

This year we made it to Cordell gardens and made it before frost!  I had some school materials for Wendy  so we all met here for a picnic.  Twila and her kids came too.  What a wonderful setting and perfect fieldtrip home schoolers from Marion Mennonite Church!   Buellah and Merle came out to visit.  I love to watch Merle with his dog, Yeager.
