July 1, 2012 - Austin to EMU

We drove Austin to EMU after watching the last game of the Euro Cup.  Starts working full time on Monday.

With housemates, Tyler and Lucus

June 30 - My Sons

Both of them were home at the same time.  Looking across the picnic table at them I just wanted to capture them so I took dozens of pictures and they didn't even object.  It's amazing - these two young men so different in appearance - both full grown - both goin' for God.  I have to try to comprehend how it happens.  I'm so rich!

June 28, 2012

Petra took this picture of Aunt Rhoda out gardening in the early morning.
The adventures of the day included a trip to Mercersburg to see our friends the Keons, and to have lunch on Pam Hoff's porch (wish I had a pic.) with Beckee and Marianne.  Gertie and Dorri came too.

Of coarse, we had to stop at Greencastle Goodwill.  Gertie in Green!

The Perfect Gloria Bike

Gloria needs a bike at Goshen.  Austin found this one-speeder with  normal handle bars and fenders.  He gave it to her as an early birthday present.

Austin shows how it's done.

Adjusting the seat to Gloria's height

Into the flowers - OOPS!

Now she's got the hang of it and disappears around the bushes.

And reappears on the other side.

Pleased as can be!

Kick stand works.

Will the Cloud Nine seat fit?

Grantley must have his turn.

Grantley and Y group work week at Camp Deer Park, June 24-29, 2012

On the way there they were delayed 5 hours by and accident on I81 at Harrisburg.  The group did work including taking bark of logs, building a bridge over a stream, and building a shed for fire wood.  It was a very hot week.  According to Dustin, Grantley was a tireless worker!

Courtney and Callista Days - June 21 and 22

Courtney had a car for the week to take Mitchell to day camp in town so She and Callista came two days so we could figure out how to make a Tee shirt quilt.  Grandma and Callista had lots of time to sift sand in the sand box.

3 tries:  Courtney and I ATTEMPT to get into the same picture.
