There are in our existence Spots of time,. . . our minds Are nourished and invisibly repaired; . . . That penetrates, enables us to mount, When high, more high, and lifts us up when fallen.

All my babes are home again (plus Ali)!
This is my first video on here! Hope it works! Two copies of the same thing but I don't want to delete one because I think I might loose both. So you can ignore the one.
Anna convinced everyone to help Grantley with the paper route on Saturday.
Fetching Gloria
We drove to Goshen Thursday and had dinner with Mario and Fran Wenger and John Roth. Inspiring evening! Spent the night at Roth's house. In the morning, we had to fill in time till Gloria would arrive. Linden spent time in the historical library while Petra and I enjoyed a quilt show.
Shetter Sister's Patchwork
Last fall my mom bought this quilt at the estate sale relative. The quilt was peiced by Mom's aunt Ada Shetter Yeager. All the patches are different and many of them have labels pinned to them saying things like: "Mother's apron" or "Eber's Shirt" or "Doris's Dress." We treasure this hand stitched heirloom.
Then Aunt Betty Wadel told Mom about a quilt top she found when going through Uncle Mark's things (Mom's brother who died 3 years ago.) Mom suggested she get Aunt Gladys to quilt it for her to give to Kim (Aunt Betty's daughter who highly values historical things.) Below is the end result. This one was pieced by my grandmother, Emma Shetter Wadel, with the same pieces just put together in a different design.
What a sweet sister project! They probably started saving scraps for each other and worked on their separate quilts little by little. Aunt Ada managed to get hers finished. She had 2 children. My grandma, Emma, had 7. Probably done in 1930's and 40's.

Pittsburg 2011 - Biannual Covention of MC USA
This summer was full enough with out signing up for a week long convention but... Linden was going as a delegate and I had always said to myself that if the convention ever came close home I would try hard to go to it. Grantley was going with the youth group and Anna as a workshop presenter so Petra and I signed up too.

Firecracker 5K
The Annual Firecracker 5K in Waynesboro
This is amazing that Linden ran this today! He has been sidelined for the past 3 years with a knee problem. He thought his running days were over but didn't give up.

On Saturday
Little Guy, Colson. I got to see all Rhoda and Daryl's extended family who were together at Charity and Delton's house for a picnic.
Melanie and Ali stopped by on their way home (Va) from camp near Harrisburg. I entertained them with pictures Austin (and some of Taylor too) from the old days. What a trip! Those were some precious times!
