Young and Foolish

Gloria’s singing a song of the poem below for her voice lesson.  Something makes me laugh when I hear “young and foolish.”  There’s something I love about that word - foolish. 

Yes, and there’s that hymn line that goes something like:  “Dear God and Father of mankind, forgive our foolish ways.”  I love that line too because of the word - foolish.

Grantley and Dexter

You can tell that this is was a Thursday because of the plaid shirt.  On Thursday mornings, Grantley has been learning auto mechanics at Strites Garage and a button down shirt has been his uniform.  This has been a very enjoyable learning experience.  The Guitar?  This was the Thursday before performathon on St Patrick's Day and Grantley was learning some Irish songs before making breakfast or was this it lunch?  I'm not sure.

Me with one of my favorite kids, Becky.  I get sewing time with Becky and Grace each Friday afternoon while Petra and Grantley have art with Mrs. Heavner.  

Enough snow to ski - Feb.

Petra and I had to seize the moment of a sparkling winter morning.  Our biggest snow of the winter was back in October so we had to make the most of this little snow that came over night.  I tried to take a video of Petra next but the battery in the camera was dead.

Valentine's Day

Grantley, Petra and I drove to EMU to have lunch with Austin and go to one of his classes with him.  Really fun! The bike belongs to the computer fixing department to take computer equipment between buildings.

Austin's been having a hard semester and really needed a change of pace during spring break.  They had a great time until they got to Balcony Falls.  Decided to cut the trip short.
