Family Vacation - The Bro-walters

Grantley dancing his way through kitchen duty

Family Vacation - Food

We had wonderful "Whole4Health" food the whole week.  We were able to get fresh produce from the farmers market.  Someone made a fire almost every day for grilling and roasting.

Family Vacation - Tue thrifting

At the MCC store I found a personal museum in their silent auction section.  I gave the kids a little walking tour to see these things that were once in my life.

Rachel and I loved playing with our Liddle Kiddles.  My first one was "Gloldie Locks" which came with a little table chairs and a baby bear.  I saved cereal box tops and sent in my money and waited 6 weeks probably till it came.  I also had a Florence Nightengale before I knew I did not want to be a nurse.

Mom had a bowl just like this that we used everyday.

Of course, we had a big bowl like this for making cookies.  Mom's was broken and glued many times before she gave up on it.

This was a top pieced from feed bag fabric.  I had a dress or two made of feed bag when I was very little.

SHow and Tell after a day of shopping.
Petra got running shoes (with Grantley's help), a jacket and a dress.

Austin - a shirt.  Anna socks, other clothing and a Guatemala table cloth w napkins

Austin with a really cool sleeping mat!

We all wore our matching blue shirts from Grantley's run.  This was at Anna's suggestion but once we got out in public, she wasn't sure she really wanted to be one of the group.

Family Vacation at Sparkling Springs, Va July 28 - Aug 4: Toll House Chocolate Chips

Alas, none of these pictures are very good at all.  Still, they will be better than nothing, I think.
My family will is kind enough to humor me with various little kid activities I come up with.  This was at the end of a treasure hunt.  A week before I found a good deal on Toll house Chocolate chips and bought a bag for each person which would be our dessert for the whole week.  On the first day, I hid the bags all around the place and they had to search and find.
